Laser Therapy

Laser therapy on arm
Laser Therapy is the use of low intensity lasers to treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries as well as chronic and degenerative conditions. This form of therapy is completely non-invasive and works to eliminate inflammation, repair damaged tissue, and ultimately it works to provide relief from pain. Our particular laser equipment is the BioFlex Professional system, developed and engineered by Meditech International Inc. This system has been proven to speed recovery time and healing while reducing pain and inflammation. It has the potential to reduce your need for medications and even surgery.

Lasers emit photon energy. This energy is absorbed by a compound within millions of cells called “mitochondria”, resulting in a higher rate of ATP (adenosine tri-phosphate) production. ATP is the only fuel source for all of our cells and it thereby stimulates the healing process. Ultimately, more ATP means faster healing.

Laser therapy also helps with:

  • Stimulating the immune system
  • Improving lymphatic drainage
  • Promotion of new blood vessels
  • Improved range of motion
  • Promotion of new collagen and elastin

The Incredible Impact of Laser Therapy Treatments

Our laser therapy treatments are a three-step process. The BioFlex equipment utilizes superluminous diodes (SLDs) and laser probes to treat and repair injured tissue with photon energy. It is through the combination of our red SLD array, infra-red array, and our infrared laser device that our treatments see such great success. Each array operates at a different frequency, allowing for different levels of penetration into the tissue and optimal saturation of the injured tissue. During each laser therapy session, you will receive all three individual therapies.

Here are some conditions that can benefit from laser therapy:

  • Accident Injuries
  • Bulging and Herniated Discs
  • Bursitis
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Contusions
  • Tennis elbow
  • Knee injuries
  • Ankle injuries
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Sport injuries
  • Torn muscles
  • Back and neck pain
