Meet Erica Warder, Psychotherapist

Erica is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) who helps people struggling with mood disorders, relationship issues, OCD, Eating and Body Image issues, grief and loss, as well as issues of the Self: confidence, self-esteem and life changes.
A bit about Therapy
The role of the therapist is to offer a thoughtful space in which together you can reflect on who you are, how you’ve come to be this way, and what may be asking for change. The kind of therapy Erica does is always a collaborative process: She will listen carefully, and help you notice patterns, connections and moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
As the work deepens and trust develops, sessions become more open-ended and guided by what feels most pressing to you in the moment. Together, you and Erica will follow your thoughts, feelings, and associations to better understand recurring emotional patterns, internal tensions or conflicts, and unspoken expectations that influence how you relate to yourself and others. Erica will offer both questions and observations to help bring these dynamics into your awareness.
A bit about Erica
Before training as a psychotherapist, Erica worked professionally as a musician. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Queen’s University and an Artist Diploma from The Glenn Gould School of Music in Toronto. During that period, her own struggles with anxiety led her to undertake her own psychotherapy. That experience was pivotal: it deepened her understanding of herself and of relational dynamics, and it continues to inform the way she works with clients.
Erica typically sees clients once a week for 50-minute sessions and offers both in-person and virtual sessions. Currently, Erica has daytime availability in-person on Fridays, and virtually Monday to Thursday.
She offers a no fee 20-minute consultation session so you have a chance to ask any questions about the process that you may have.
