Elevate Chiropractic Frequently Asked Questions

Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?

When people ask us this, when they’re new patients, our response is very similar. You won’t always have to go, but you always want to go because you need to think of all the physical challenges you put your body through regularly. They’re always going to be there. Because you can’t live in a bubble, you’re going to keep stressing your body. Therefore, it will require ongoing maintenance.

Does the chiropractic adjustment hurt?

No, adjustments are quite gentle. We have instrument-assisted techniques that still provide an effective adjustment but are extremely low force.

Can chiropractic cure everything?

No, chiropractic doesn’t cure anything. Chiropractic is an effective system for enhancing and elevating overall health. It’s not a treatment or a cure for anything.

Why would I have my newborn or a young child adjusted?

The birth process is very traumatic to both a mom and her baby. The baby’s spine has never even experienced gravity, and it goes through the birth process. There can be lots of trauma that a baby is exposed to in that process. The sooner that we can identify that trauma and correct it through the chiropractic adjustment, the better for the baby.

Do I need a referral from my physician to see you?

No, you don’t.

Do you work with medical doctors?

Yes. Frequently.

Will I get adjusted on my first visit?

Probably not. Most often, you will get adjusted on the second visit after the report of findings.

Will you suggest exercises or other things I can do?

Yes, we always will provide exercises you can do at home.
